Spring/Summer 2015

Here’s the result of a lot of standing at the stove stirring this summer:  23.5 pints of peach jam, 44 pints of cucumber pickles, 13 pints of carrot pickles, 1.5 pints of caramelized onion relish, & 45 pints of salsa!

All of these items were preserved using a water bath canner. In addition, I preserved 4 quarts of sour dill pickles through fermentation.

All of the produce used came from our garden except the peaches for the peach jam…some came from a co-worker and the rest came from a peach orchard in Fredericksburg, Texas.
